I need to hear some good news about this place. Issels keeps popping up as the best so far...but I just don't know. My sister is too sick to research so I've been this computer 10 & 15 hours a day since Sept 29th when she found her breast cancer came back in her lungs. She also suffered a stroke on Oct 13th...so we really have a situation here. Oasis of Hope is excellent too. I have a friend who had end stage melanoma...She went to Oasis of Hope and came back cancer free for 5 years....She had a recurrence...went back to Gerson and came back 2 weeks later cancer free again...and that was 2 years ago. She's still on the  Gerson therapy and doing great. I guess what turned me off about Oasis was that they started offering chemo there. I think it had to do with the Mexican gov. He's still doing great!Another story...My family doctor had late stage bone cancer (shoulders & arm) She went to Switzerland for alternativive (I think she had electromagnetic treatment) That was in 1998. She's still practicing...cancer free. I spoke to Linda Stetler last week. She has a story to tell too. I'm trying to gather enough info to convince her to go for treatment at one of the better Mexican clinics.Didn't mean to ramble on so...but my heart is in this so deep right now. I've learned a lot about treatments and I've spoken to clinics and doctors so I am convinced that life-saving treatments are mainly found out of our country. Good luck on Oasis!!! I know you'll come back a "new woman."God Bless,Snetrem   SNETREM Fri, 19 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT Hi,I am a breast cancer patient whose cancer has also metasticized to my lungs.  I go to a clinic in Mexico, but not Issels.  I do believe the Issels clinic is actually located inside the Oasis of Hope Hospital as a stand-alone option, but you can probably do a combination of treatments there.  I go to the Stella Maris clinic--my doctor was the clinical director for the Manner Clinic before the death of Dr. Manner, the head biologist who researched Laetrile at Loyola.  After Dr. Manner's death, the clinic went in more conventional directions, and my doctor left to open his own clinic.I was pronounced terminal with less than six months to live last October.  I had a chronic cough for 3 years, was on oxygen for 3 months, and was beginning to lose weight from wasting.  over the last 8 months, my tumor marker has gone from 1700 to under 600, my cough is completely gone, I am gaining weight, and my blood-oxygen saturation has gone from 86% to 96%.  I am not cured yet, but I am moving strongly in the right direction---So DON'T GIVE UP.  Get your sister to Mexico. The treatments I am on are IV Amygdalin (Laetrile), IV DMSO, IV Vit C and other vitamins, Iscador injections, and Transfer factor.  I also take tamoxifen at my Mexican doctor's suggestion, to buy me some time for the other stuff to work as my cancer is estrogen positive .  My doctor was quite worried when I came to him and he did try me for a week on a very low-level chemo.  He uses DMSO the way some clinics use insulin (IPT) to allow the use of very low levels of chemo.  Even at these low levels though, I threw up for three days, and decided he would just have to cure me with all-natural methods, because I wasn't going to do any more chemo.   I believe Oasis also facilitates their use of chemo with DMSO or insulin to allow very low levels---but your sister certainly could opt not to use it at all.I have some material from Oasis and Issels as I wrote to a lot of clinics before I decided where to go---I'd be happy to share anything I have, but you can write to them directly.Keep strong.Rebecca H. I'm pretty much sold on Mexico too. I personally know or have spoken to 5 others with end-stage who have survived for many years, after alternative treatments. One, my doctor, went to Switzerland...9 years ago.  I spoke to Mrs Joseph Issels this past Saturday. Actually I was in awe of her, after reading about her husband for so many years. We talked for a very long time. She's such a wise old soul. She told me about the beginning of her husband's work back in Germany and that she's seen people coming to them who were near death...and many went on to live 20 years longer. She is opposed to chemo because the other treatments are just as effective and without the dangers.  Issels is one...but there are many wonderful clinics and hospitals in Mexico. I haven't read about Stella Maris & Dr Mannor...but I'll look them up after I finish this post. I do however have a situation going on with my sister. Her oncologist and her husband are both against her getting any type of alternative treatment. She is torn between what I say and what she hears from them. By the way, her husband hasn't even opened a book or looked up a cancer website...but he tells her to listen to her doctor (the one who tells her she is going to die) This is the true battle I have. I'm not that worried about the cancer itself because I know she can be treated and live...but I'm so afraid of the time she is losing..allowing that crap to spread. She was diagnosed on September 19th...and still trying to make up mind.It's frustrating. What more proof do we need??? Oncologists say, once they've used up their resources, "there's no more we can do"....while others are running off to Mexico and finding longevity. I was happy to read your supportive post, pro-Mexico...You helped a lot at this end...Now just say a quick prayer I can get thru to my sister before it's too late.Keep the faith and stay focused on your healing and you'll live to be an old woman with a great story to tell!Snetrem  SNETREM Mon, 22 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT Dear Snetrem, My doctor is Dr. Alvarez---Dr. Manner died about 20 years ago--my doctor was his clinical director, and also began his medical career working with Ernesto Contreras, who originally ran the Oasis of Hope.  It sounds like you have a great relationship with Mrs. Issels, however, and that would be a wonderful option for your sister. As regards your relatives, there is a wonderful book called "Politics in Healing" by Daniel Haley---I think you can get it on Amazon.  It documents the political suppression of 10 different extraordinary alternative treatments, 8 specifically for cancer, including Hoxsey, Krebiozen, Rife.  Some have been completely lost due to past suppression, but some still exist outside the US.  The book is very good if you can get family members to read it, because it clearly documents the criminal nature of the suppression of these treatments, as well as their highly documented effectiveness and lack of toxicity.  It clearly answers the questions of how can these "quack" treatments work if the AMA and FDA have supposedly discredited them. I know how hard it can be to get family to listen--there is so much fear around the "Big C," but ultimately it is your sister who must live and die with the decisions---so if you feel very strongly about it, and she is able, see if maybe she would be willing to read the book---it will answer many of her questions and fears about the wisdom of seeking alternative cancer treatment.  Keep strong,Rebecca  RebeccaH Mon, 22 Oct 2007 00:00:00 GMT All i have to say to you sister husband is that he needs to realize that the doctors force chemo on patients to make $$.  Also- since your sister is terminal then what does he have to lose to try this?  Yes, Issles is $$ but so worth it.  My best friends mom jstu past away this past saturday from ovarian cancer - but techinically not from the cancer but from the chemo.  That did her in - was so strong and made her weak.  She got pneumonia and a infection from the chemo and died after a week.  So, you are on the right path.  Get her to Mexico or anywhere and get her body strong again. And even if it does not cure her - it will definitly extend her life.  Otherwise i would in the mean time look into alternative meds.  Poly MVA, vitamin c IV therapy - organic diet- no dairy, meat, sugar, alcohol etc.    hopefully her husband will change his mind, my father has prostate cancer in the bones and has not done radiation or chemo- and is doing great so far by doing alternative. he is actually building up his immune system and not destroying it with chemo. best of luck! I'm so happy for you that you found him.I wish I could go grab my sister by the hair and drag her off to Mexico tomorrow. She says she will not do chemo again and believes in the natural cures...but afraid of her husband. (I doubt he will even look at the book I'm going to buy for her)  My sister just WAITS...and her recurrence was  diagnosed in mid-Sept. The problem is that she is so afraid she might "upset" him. He's adamant about her listening to her doctor...and does not want her to go out of the country. I've done the research (which she didn't have time for) and am convinced she needs aggressive alt treatment asap....but every time I get near my sister or try to help her, he takes it out on her. With all this going on (I think I would call it battered woman syndrome, though he never physically hits her) my hands are tied. She is his prisoner and I can't do anything to change it. She knows I'd jump into a fire for her but I had to let go last night and hand it over to God. No, we never went because my sister's husband "would't allow it" (long story) But Issels was my best choice, and still is, after researching just about all there was. I've even become friends with Mrs Issells because we've talked so much. Truthfully, I believe all the testimonial videos about Issels impressed me the most. When you have late stage cancer you should act fast. Even before you go anywhere, starting today, she should eat all organic, cut the meats, lots of fruits & veggies, exercise and even laughter is great to boost the immune system. I was anxious to get my sister to Issels Clinc in Tijuana because they are experts on getting rid of the cancer cells. Issels is located at the Oasis of Hope, which is a full service hospital. Mrs Issels said they even do heart surgery there. It just seems like a very safe place to go. They have various methods they use (see their website) but they offer more than they say online. Since my sister is married to a narrow-minded fool we just did what we could at home. My sister ended up doing natural treatments at home that we would find on the web and also Mrs Issells was kind enough to offer advice also. We learned so much...but the simple truth is that stress, along with parasites (bacteria, fungus, etc)  is what causes cancer. There are 2 things that need to be done 1.)Detox (kill parasites)  & 2.) Boost the immune system with various diets, supplements, mind-body therapies. There are hundreds of treatments out there. My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that mets to lungs back in mid September. She suffered a serious stroke on top of that in October and was sent home on HOSPICE to die. She's been drinking Essaic Tea, drinking ozonated water, zapping parasites, eating all raw organic, taking various supplements and she is improving so fast. We just went for a family gathering this weekend and she looks and feels better than I do!  She says the arthritis in her fingers has vanished and her knees no longer bother her. Still slight dizziness from the stroke but she's a walking miracle. We just can't wait for her next pet scan because we believe the cancer is gone and at the worst "nearly gone". I'll make a post in early December & let you know. (if ever cancer returns or if I get it Issels is where we'll go)  There are other excellent clinics, doctors and hospitals of course. The bottom line is all about "boosting the immune system". The only thing is that when you have stage 4 you have to move fast and be more aggressive...but it's important not to panic and get stressed out. So getting your Mom to an experienced doctor or clinic for  help would be faster and easier on both of you.
