What to expect?

My Husband was just diagnosed with primary liver cancer, the largest tumor is 8 inches in the upper lobe and several in the lower lobe.He starts on Nexavar this week, he does not want do to the research, but wants me to know what to expect. This is such a shock, he is only 54 and has been healthy until 4 months ago it bothered him to eat and he lost weight drastically. he was not overweight to begin with so now he is very thin. What can I do to help him, what is the process, the doctor said the Nexavar could prolong his life. Any help I would appreciate, we are in such shock I do not know where to turn. The Dr. said Nexavar is his only hope, it sounds like this moves quickly. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

RE: What to expect?

Getting information about for your husband can be found at the National Cancer Institute website or NCI. (just look up type of liver cancer) I found my information there. It helped me understand what to expect and rationalize what the doctors were telling me. Best wishes for you and your husband and best of luck.
