Torisel side effects

I was wondering if anyone on torisel is having problems with swelling around the feet and ankles. I developed a rash and elevated sugar. The rash went away and I am now on insulin, but haven't got my sugar to drop to accectable levels yet. The swelling happened after the 7th treatment. I just want it all to go away. I'm tired of not feeling good, but what is the alternative. Thanks,Richard

Elevated sugar is a known side effect of torisel, so no surprises there. Just looking for others who are on torisel to talk to about there experiences.

Not sure about the toricel but mywife has sweeling in armsand legs and abdomen. most think it isdue to the missing lymphnodes and the radiaition ofone of the major lymph nodes in her neck area.she started lymphadema therapy recently and that has helped. basically it consists of moving the fluidfrom the swollen areasto the working lymph glands. she also wear sepcail stockingsand an armsleeve. then at night she iswrapped up with miles of bandages. But this has brought the sweeling down a bit. I would suggest looking into this.

My husband has had 3 treatments of torisel. Today Inoticed swelling under his left breast. The area was warm and if I touched it gently he said that it hurt. The swelling also went to the area under his right breast this afternoon. What you said about lymph nodes was interesting because my husband had 23 lymph nodes removed in 2006 when he had his kidney removed. I am going to tell his doctor about what you said about lymphadema therapy. If you have any other help, please let us know. I did not know that one of the side effects of torisel was swelling. Thank you for telling us. Good luck and good wishes to you all. Marleen
