Renal Cell treated with Sutent

Hi, I'm Dee. I had my right kidney removed in 2002 on my 42nd birthday and no other treatment taken. On the 4th anniversay cat scan, it appeared that I had mets in both sides of my lungs in the hilar lymph nodes and my one remaining adrenal gland. The pathology was evasive and for nearly a year I went thru a thorachotemy, and 3 endoscopic procedures to try to get a biopsy. Finally a Dr. from Hopkins went out on a limb and gave me a diagnosis of RCC so I could get approval via my insurance company for treatment. After two cycles, a cat scan revealed no new growth in the right, slight shrinkage in the left and extensive shrinkage in the adrenal gland. Side effects have not been nearly as bad thus far, as others have mentioned. Heartburn has been taken care of with prilosec OTC. Diahrhea is toward the end of the cycle and I have been using immodium. My problem may be a unique one. I am a compulsive overeater so weight loss would not be the worse thing for me. What I'd like to know what are the least reactive healthy foods to eat? Does the new yogerts with Activa help? Thanks for any suggestions you can make.Dee
