Vitamin D builds strong immune system

Vitamin D, in the form of sunlight, is converted into calcium for stronger bones and a healthier immune system. The synergistic effect of vitamin D along w/other vitamins/minerals obtained from food sources (ideally) builds a strong immune defense so one is not as susceptible to viruses/bacteria which are opportunists and seek a weak terrain (the human body). My grandfather was a well-known and highly respected doctor in the late 1800's - 1900's who was very familiar w/the health-giving benefits of sunlight. He advocated exposure to the sun (no sunscreen) and water as the cheapest medicine there is. Solariums were in favor, mostly in Europe, and people who were ill would seek the mineral-rich waters of springs and the benefits of sunshine. My own father swore by the sun and every day would lie in the sun for as long as possible, even in the winter. He lived into his ripe old 80's and died a peaceful death from natural causes.

That makes sense. I mean sunlight and water are two of the most natural things out there. Best thing is they are both FREE. Your grandfather/father are two very smart men. There's just too many processed "remedies" out there. It's ridiculous! The answer is right in front and above us!

Dr. Johanna Budwig, 7-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee, also extolled the virtues of the sun. She said that the sun was VITAL in curing cancer and she should know, for over 50 years in Germany, she had an over 90% cure rate for people following her diet and lifestyle protocol.

Thank you for the note on Dr. Budwig. I was not familiar w/her and I appreciate the info. I'm reading a very informative book right now, 'Solar Power' by Dr. Marc Sorenson. Since having appx. 3 suntan sessions a week on sunbeds at a local tan center, I feel great, sleep better, and have been losing weight, which was my goal. I also walk almost every day 2-3 miles around a lake which has really taken off the weight. The propaganda machine is so invasive that most everyone I talk with is led to believe that the sun is to be avoided at all costs. Plus people think sunscreen is so necessary. This book talks about how your nutrition is key to skin cancers, which the sun is not entirely responsible for, as is believed. Of course, everything in moderation and one shouldn't get burned, ideally, but if you build up your exposure and eat a lot of anti-oxidant-rich foods, it builds your immune system. I was reading where most cancers can be avoided if one builds their vitamin D reserves. But since you can't make $$ off the sun as it's free, the drug cos. via the pharmaceutical cos. who produce most of the sunscreen, would like to keep you in the dark, so to speak.
