Help

My daughter, age 45, married with 2 children, was diagnosed last month with NSCLC. This was confirmed by Mt. Sinai and Sloan. She lives in Fla. I live in NY. They learned the cancer had spread to her adrenals and brain. They are now doing whole brain radiation and then will start chemo when that is finished. Before the treatment started, she was energetic, lively; her blood work is normal. Now she is fatigued and nauseas. I have read about this on the internet and the statistics are terrifying. I started looking at complementary medicines. Can anyone give some guidance as to which comp. medicines and/r websites that could be helpful? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Helen, I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter. My dad is 50 and has been battling nsclc with brain metastases for a year now. The doctors had given him months, but he kept fighting. Now he has an eye metastases also, but he is currently on Tarceva and we are hoping that will keep him stabilised. I am afraid I am not an expert on websites and stuff, but I do have some advice for you.Keep your daughter as happy as possible and ask whoever makes her laugh more to do their best in making her laugh as much as possible. Treat her like normal and never show her you feel sorry for her. Remind her always of the fact that she WILL beat cancer and that better days are sure to come.God bless you and your daughter. You'll be in my prayers.Margarita
