Leukemia and Blast Cells

I was concerned that I had Leukemia or Lymphoma, but was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. The cancer doc told me that if I had Leukemia I would have blast cells in the bone marrow. However, after doing some research, I found information that CML does not have blast cells. Is this true?

Hi: First of all, be sure you know what you have.Yes Leukemia does have blast cells. They are seen in your bone marrow biopsy when they do it, and other testing. Leukemia goes through stages, and the last stage is called Blast Crisis. Be sure you get proper information from proper sources with any illness. Good Luck & God Bless Suzzie59
