CancerCompass message board discussion started by stscaccia on 11/8/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,17785,0.htm Sat, 06 Sep 2008 00:00:00 GMT Sat, 06 Sep 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ My father was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer in late March.  We just learned that it has spread to the liver and gallbladder.  The doctors only give him six months.  Does anyone know what things I should expect to see happen?  What complications are going to start happening? stscaccia Thu, 08 Nov 2007 00:00:00 GMT My husband was given 4-6 months, Metastatic Melanaoma, Stage IV, in Oct 06 and is still here today.  Unfortunately, his cancer is still spreading after radiation, gamma ray knife (in brain) and plenty of chemotherapy.I find my husband gets tired a great deal more, appetite has gone down tremendously, side effects from whatever treatments must be dealt with and I do try to watch his mood.  It is quite challenging for him and he does have his bad days. His color has changed and seems greyish purple. I encourage him to freely talk about it and keeping the lines of communication open, planning things for the person to look forward to and of course - a fabulous sense of humor always comes in handy.  Demetria Wed, 13 Feb 2008 00:00:00 GMT
