bcc of lower eyelid

I had a bcc cut off my lower left eyelid 3 weeks ago. It was about 1cm wide and .5 cm tall. The Dr. did not cut into the eyelid margin. He called me the next day and told me that he did not get it all. He referred me to a mohs surgeon and an oculoplastic surgeon. At the consultation with the mohs surgeon, I was told that the lab report indicated deeper involvement. I was very dissapointed with this doctor. She probobly said only 20 words during my appt. and most of those were answers to my few questions. As of now, I am inclined to not seek further treatment. Can this be dangerous? If so, how? The lump had been on my eyelid for 6-8 years and grew very slowly.
