Identifying Solid Mass Or Fluid Filled Mass

Does anyone know whether or not a CT scan indicates whether a mass is solid of fluid filled? My family doctor ordered the test and then I was just told that I was being referred to a Urologist. Could my family doctor already know whether or not the mass is solid or not? Or does it need to be the Urologist that determines that? My appointment is not for another 7 days and the unanswered questions are eating at me.Thank you-Michelle

IV contrast if given can help.Ken
