Confused about symptoms...

Hi,I had a pain/swelling in my right testicle about 3 weeks ago. I went to my general medicine doctor who did an examination, said he didn't feel any lumps, and said it was epiditimitus. Went home for about a week, the swelling went down, but was still there. Went back, did another exam, said no lumps, gave me some anti-inflamitory stuff. At this point I was worried and went to a urologist who said he agreed that it was epiditimitus. He said to finish the anti-inflamatory medicine, then take advil for two weeks. The pain which had pretty much subsided came back one night, I was so worried I just went to the ER at my local hospital. They did a sonogram and found a spermatocyle and hyrdocele, and said that the epiditimitus was indeed inflamed. They gave me antibiotics and I saw the urologist again the next day. He gave me two weeks worth of antiobiotics. I'm into my second week, but I still have some pain/swelling, and am worried. My big questions is, would the sonogram have picked up any cancerous tissue if it any was there? I ask because I would have expected the symptoms to have gone away mostly by now after three weeks of various pills etc and am worried that this is something more serious. The right testicle is still a little swollen and hurts a bit, nothing like three weeks ago but there nonetheless.Sorry for the long post, just wondering if anyone has any insight,Thanks

An ultrasound (sonogram) would definitely pick up a cancerous mass in your testicle.... I'd go with the diagnosis you received on the epididimytis and finish your medicine as indicated.... unfortunately these problems do take a long while to be fixed.....good luck!
