looking for resources

Help! My girlfriends father found out about a year ago that he has cancer. It has spread and it is getting worse. This has been a very quick process and my girlfriend is feeling overwhelmed. I have not had any experience with this and I am not sure what to say or what to do. I would like to get her something that she can read when she is feeling overwhelmed and angry about this disease. Does anyone have any suggestions? I guess I am looking for books that might help her/us. Thanks for you time.

RE: looking for resources

There are lot of resources available, depending on the type of cancer you want to know aout. Simply GOOGLE the type of cancer to start. There are organizations for just about every type of cancer. A simple site to start with is the American Cancer Society. Also if you're looking for information of more detail try the National Cancer Institute. You can olso go to your local library and they most likely have some books on cancer, altho check the dates because they may be old and not much help,This can give you a starting point. If you are more specific to the type of cancer, I or someone may be able to direct you in a more specific direction.Wishing you the best on this journey gj
