stage IVB

Hi All, My mom is 65 y/o and was dx w/Adenocarcinoma of the endometrial lining in Sept 2007. she had the hyst on 10/23 and one lymph node was involved, but the rest was contained in the uterus. She's now a stage IVB, grade 2-3 because she has lung mets. She has like 10 all about 1.2cm and the ct scan showed that as the only spot she has mets since her hyst. She had her first taxol/carbo on Wed. and is doing okay with that. She is in very good health/shape other than this. Are there any long remissions out there for this? The docs say its treatable but always comes back. She says she has one patient who has been in remission for 5 yrs too. Thanks

RE: stage IVB

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine Cancer in late June and had a hysterectomy at that time. It had gone to part of the stomach lining. The surgeon said he got it all out surgically. I then had chemo. The chemo worked well for me. It has not spread. Be positive and don't assume it is going to spread. If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, I would tell you to ask Him into your life - and your mom's. He is a healer! Also, I highly recommend M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston - it is the number one cancer hospital in America. I live in Virginia and go there for everything except the chemo which I get locally. God heals through miracles and/or doctors. The most important thing is to know Him because whether we have cancer or not, this life is short and eternity is forever! God bless you and your mom :)
