CancerCompass message board discussion started by lisaann on 12/6/2007 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,18672,0.htm Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hi-  I have metastasized rectal cancer & have actually had a very good response to chemo so far (had 12 liver tumors & was down to just one (3 cm) after just three chemo rounds).  My doctors were amazed.  After an additional 3 chemo rounds, the remaining liver tumor and originally found rectal tumor had shrunk, but not very much.  My doctor is excited about CyberKnife (which has just been in San Diego Co, where I live, for 3 mos.).  It is supposedly an alternative to me having the liver tumor removed surgically.  I'm just wondering if anyone else has knowledge or experience with this, as I believe it has been in a couple of other places in the country longer.  Please let me know, as I will be discussing this option further with my doctor after my next chemo round.Thanks,Lisa lisaann Thu, 06 Dec 2007 00:00:00 GMT cyberknifesupport org Raj S.
