Xeloda

I'd like to know if any of you have had the same reactions to Xeloda that I have been having. I'm experiencing terrible body aches, have been dizzy, go to bed each night and wake with the same terrible headache. I feel like I have the flu. I am so tired/fatigued that I barely make it off my couch or bed. I called the oncology nurse and she said that this was typical for Xeloda but what I'm reading on the message boards, it isn't! I have stage IV breast w/ bone mets. Started out on A/C/T, mastectomy, and then radiation. Hormone therapy didn't work so now I'm on Navelbine (IV chemo - no side effects so far) + Xeldoa. I'm taking B6 (3/p.d); using udder cream (working), compazine (nauseau -sort of working), and meds for sores in my mouth. I don't recall EVER feeling this bad on chemo the first round. What are your experiences? Thanks,

I will be taking xeloda with avastin for the third cycle on friday. This will be my 58th cycle of chemo in three years. The side effects in having are fatigue, hand and foot syndrome, and slight flu like symptoms.I take ondansetron hcl for nausia which seems to work well. The pill has been a blessing compared to 5fu and carring a pump.I have stage 4 colon cancer. Verlin
