Plasmacytoma of the sinus

My father is waiting for results from a pathology report which doctors have now sent off to head pathology in Vancouver. They say if the tumor is cancer it would be called a plasmacytoma. Has anyone heard of a plasmacytoma occuring in the Maxillary Sinus? Left a hole 11mm x 6mm?If anyone has information or knows of where we can research this cancer which is rarely in the sinus, your help is appreciated.

It is was 7 centimeters when it was first found, it did grow rather quickly.. They also found myeloma in both legs (tibia's), and her groin area. The Dr.immediately started radiation on her and tomorrow (Thursday December 27th) will be the last day. Her Dr. crammed 3 weeks of radiation into 1week, because he doesn't want her off the Velcade for any length of time. When she goes back on this chemo they will include Doxil to the mix. Denys also said that she has another mass like tumor on her back about the size of an egg and last night (December 25Th) she found another smaller lump. The Dr. will have biopsy's done, we pray they are benign. My sister has stage 3 Myeloma and is very scared about what will happen to her next. I wish you all the best, and will keep your Dad in my prayers. My sister just turned 55 last year. This is an awful cancer , very heart breaking to watch a loved one have to endure so much pain and suffering. Susan
