LINITIS PLASTICA, please help

hi my mum has just had her 6th and final chemo, and her consultant has said for my mum to go and enjoy what time she has left, her ct scan revealed the stomach lining has moderatly reduced this was after the 3rd cycle. my mum is only 43, it is stage 4 and is on 5FX cistiplatin, epirobicin and xeloda tablets. Xeloda is instead of 24hr infusion via a picc/long line, we werent offered this treatment it was only because of this website and some one on xeloda that we questionned the consultant!! he said they cannot operate but it may have reduced more but they are not offering another scan!! i wondered if there is anyone finshing chemo and were they are going from now? mum has suffered from having chemo but she does eat, manages to get out, and seems a little bit better i feel like thats it and just to wait for her to deteriotate, can anyone help? research is limited and my mum doesnt seem to want a second opinion. we live in hull, UKnikki

My father just passed away 2 weeks ago with a Stomach cancer. Before a surgery doctor did not do a Biospy or recommend my father get a second opinion, he just looked at a CT scan and told my father had a tumo and then after a surgery, my father can go to chemotherapy 6 months. My father is always believe a doctor for sure, he did not want to go to ask for a second opinion or radiation. When a surgery did not sucessful, doctor told us that my father can live 1 to 3 months, because the intestine leak, the surgery line leaked as a two small holes (J-Tube) the blood came out every day about half cup of coffee. I felt so sad and pain for my father as he defeated from a doctor, It made me so much painful and stressful. You should tell your mom go to see a second or more doctors until, your mom and family felt satisfy a doctor, if the doctors say the same things or some doctors can research good medicines, so it will help. I heard someone's said Turmeric root (yellow root) clean and chopped small pieces and then mixed with organic Honey (No sugar), should take 2 teaspoons and 2 or 3 times a day, it will curve a cancer. I did heard someone's used this method, and still live long. Good luck to your mom.
