Sad to report Mom passed away on December 5th

Hi,I am very sad to report Mom passed away from recurent Ovarian Cancer after a 22 month battle. Mom had stage 3C Ovarian Cancer and battled very hard but was overcome by Sepsis which is an infection in the blood. Mom would have been 71 on 1/25. I am deeply saddened by her loss. There was no one I love, appreciated and respected more than my Mom. I will never get over her loss but will try and live with it as best as I can. Mom will be in my heart for eternity. Her son,Tom

Dear Tom, I remember reading your messages this fall regarding your Mom's battle with cancer. My own mother, age 65, is fighting a stage 3C ovarian carcinosarcoma, so I am only too familiar with what your mom and you have gone through these past 22 months. My condolences to you. Based on your posts, one could tell you were a great advocate for her and that is one of many ways we can help our parents when they need us. My heart goes out to you. Christiane in OR

Her son,TomHi Tom,I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your mother, especially so close to the holidays. I am also very close to my mother. We have been the best of friends going everywhere and doing everything together for the last 15 years. My mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 inoperable Thymoma/Thymus cancer right before last Christmas. She had chemo all last winter and major open-chest surgery this summer to remove the mass and several other structures in the chest. She has since had heart failure from the chemo and cannot have radiation due to her heart. She has suffered immensely as has our entire family. I am very thankful to have her with us this Christmas and hope and pray her cancer will never come back. However, it is always in my thoughts and her type of cancer is one that normally returns. I am thankful for today and will try to cherish all the time we have left. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. I hope, some day, there will be a cure to all cancers!!Michelle
