cancer in lungs

my wife has been on sutent and then torisel for almost a year. after her kidney was removed in december 06 she was fine until July when she had a tumor in her t-2 bone, thats when they swithed her to torisel from sutent. on wed they drained 1900 ccs of fluid from her chest and the doctor told us a few days later that the cancer had spread to her lungs I assume she will be taken off the torisel does any one have any ideas of what might be a next attempt to slow down the cancer?

Be sure your wife is being treated by a doctor that has experience in treating metastatic kidney cancer. Find one on KIDNEY-ONC (http://cancerguide.org/kofaq/ ) or by calling the Kidney Cancer Association (800-850-9132).
