My story fighting stage 4 RCC, so far successfully 1 year

I have been reading some of these sites on and off for the last year and feel that I should put my story on here and hope that it helps anybody who may be looking for alternatives that have proven successful for my battle.I was diagnosed with RCC 1 year ago. A 20 centimeter tumor in my left kidney had spread and affected my spleen, colon, stomach, pancreas, and diaphram.I was originally told that I would be dead in 6 months. This was not what I had planned for my life. I had a wonderful wife and 4 young children with another on the way. My 5th child was due about the same time that I was to die.Long story short I found an amazing surgeon who agreed to take my case without ever seeing all the ugly details involved. Dr. John Colberg from the Yale oncology unit was and is truly a remarkable man and surgeon. A recognized leader in the field and a true believer in going for it in surgeries that no one else would touch. The surgery was long and involved with an amazing team of doctors working to remove all or part of the various organs involved. There was no guarantee that I would even survive the operation but I assured them I would fight like crazy and I did.I was out of the hospital in 9 days which amazed everybody except me and my wife who literally took up residence in my hospital room and nursed me back to health along with the staff. The doctor had good news, he had removed all of the gross matter. No small feat in an operation this involved. Unfortunately scans 6 weeks later found 3 new tumors in the kidney bed and the biggest was already 6 centimeters. This is tantamount to a death sentence as far as RCC recovery is concerned. I did not know that at the time but we could see it in the oncologists faces when they told us.That is what sent my wife and I (mostly my wife) on a real journey about what could be done to stop this thing that had invaded my body. She spent countless hours and days on the phone and internet perusing all kinds of traditional and alternative methods of fighting cancer.I was immediately offered several trials and also nexavar which is what we started taking soon afterwards. I did research on Nexavar and could see that it did not cure anything but more delayed the growth of the tumors. What seemed to make sense was combining herbs and nutrition along with traditional therapies to attack the tumors and more importantly change the underlying causes of the tumors. If I get rid of the tumors but don't change what caused them then they were bound to recur.I immediately started on the alternative treatments and had to wait two weeks to start the Nexavar due to insurance issues. Six weeks later I had scans that showed the complete disappearance of the three tumors from the first scan, but a new mass in an area higher up in the abdomen in an area not covered in the first scan due to insufficient ink. The next scans showed the mass at the same size with no new tumors. Our last scans showed the same mass at a more than tree times reduction. It went from 2.8 centimeters to .9 centimeters and no new tumors. (In between the two final scans we did Dr Shulze"s Incurables Program). I'm gaining weight little by little (I lost 100 pounds) and feeling stronger every day. The remedies are also supposed to help with the side effects of the Nexavar. In my situation that has been the case. My oncologists are amazed at my recovery although they have mixed feelings about using alternative therapies as might be expected. They are really stunned with my recovery. I am a strong believer in prayer and meditation and we had people all over the world praying for me before during and after the surgery. I STRONGLY recommend reading the online journal called www.cancerfightingstrategies.com as well as contacting the vendors below by phone. They are very helpful and have a lot of useful information. These are the alternative therapies I'm on. The site gives many different possibilities and encourages people to find something that works for them. If one doesn't work as well, try something else. I still take the Nexavar 2 pills twice a dayN Tense and Immune Support which I get from Raintree Nutritionals.Oxy E and Elemental PH, Total Immune Booster from Gethealthy again.comZeolite in liquid form that I get from Ebay.I did the Dr. Schulze incurables program which I purchased online.I use non toxic products in my home and on my body. (shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc.)I pray a lot, and make every attempt to live life present to the fact that it is a precious gift. My wife and I had a beautiful baby girl in June and I was able to help her in labor and take care of her in her recovery! (Along with our other four children).I just wanted to share our story and hope that it helps someone. God bless you all,Mark
