Adrenal Mass

I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in Oct 06 went into remission Apr 07. I was recently hospitalized for anemia they took a ct scan to see if there was internal bleeding, I was told I had a mass on my adrenal gland(6x5x4 cm) I don't know what this all mean but I'm scared the cancer has spread. Will see specialist Dec 26 2007 some Christmas uh any one else with this kind of problem. Lucinda

Same thing for me. I have been fighting squamous non small lung cancer since July '04 went into remission Nov '06. I have had a mass on my adrenal gland as well that they have been watching. It has not changed in the last 2 years, most likely it is benign I am told. The doctor also told me that upon autopsy on the normal population, benign tumors are often found that have never caused any known problems. Hope that that info is as comforting to you as it is to me!

RE: Adrenal Mass

Now I'm off to see a kidney specialist the doctor said it's because the adrenal gland is on top of the kidney. My mother passed two years ago from kidney cancer She was doing fine with it until they opened her up, I feel that if she had not had the operation she would have been with us longer. So I afraid for them to cut me the doctor is said they can't tell if it's cancerous or not without the operation..
