liver/spleen problems

My husband has Melanoma. He has completed his month long interferon treatment and is into his third week of the 11month mtnce of interferon injection 3x weekly. He had a CT scan today. It showed changes with his liver and spleen. We are seeing the Oncologist tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen? Is it the Interferon? Hoping to get answers tomorrow.

While on Interferon the liver is monitored as due to the strenght of the drug it can effect the liver's function, and sometimes treatment is stopped for a week or two until the liver's level are back to normal.

He is off the Interferon and is on high doses of steroids for the vasculitis. Has anyone else had this problem? We've heard it is quite rare. Without Interferon I don't know what or if any treatment is available.
