A Christmas wish for each of you

About ten years ago, I started a “tradition” in my household. Each time a new season or special holiday rolled around, I thought up rather long and ingenious rhymes for my voice mail.message. Over the years, those messages have gone by the wayside, but the Christmas one has remained strong and each year is put back on, accompanied by some background Christmas carol. Its message, at least to me, is important, and I wanted to share it with all of you. “I’m sorry we’re not here,To answer your call,We may be out shopping,YES, even at the mall! While Santa and his reindeerAre certainly all right. The true meaning of ChristmasLies with the babe born that cold, starry night.Amid all of the hustle, the bustle and fun,Remember that GOD sent to usHis One and Only true Son.So, please never forget, But always rememberThe reason for this seasonAnd not just in DecemberNow one final thoughtTo those big and smallFrom our household to yoursMerry Christmas to ALL! My Christmas wish for each of you is that the peace, joy, love and hope that the birth of Jesus brought into this world, be with you today, tomorrow and for all the days to come. May we all enjoy this Christmas, surrounded by family and friends and plan for many, many more to celebrate in the coming years! Merry Christmas! Jaynee

RE: A Christmas wish for each of you

Thank you Jaynee for your true message of hope. As much as we all want to be cured of cancer (and many of us will be), it is so important to spread the news that God has a plan for all of our lives. It's very hard to see this sometimes in the midst of pain and a cancer diagnosis. We often ask "why?" and I truly don't have an answer for that. But I do know that often answers can be found looking back on things that happen in life.I know that the good that's come out my having cancer is the fact that so many people at my place of employment have had renewed faith and have been praying together- both for me and for others- something that I couldn't have imagined happening before! Jesus is alive and loves us- I know I couldn't be going through all this without His hope and love.Blessings to all of you- there is Hope!Lisa
