PRAYERS URGENTLY NEEDED

My husband Dave who has metastatic rectal cancer with METS to liver and lung was admitted to the hospital on New Years Eve with a high fever and extreme pain. After doing a CAT scan we have found out that the cancer has now spread to the lymph nodes in the abdomen and also that he has a tumor at the site of his incision in the scar tissue where his hepatic artery pump is in the mid chest.Right now the plan is pain management which seems to be helping but also our oncologist is planning on starting him on Camptosar and Erbitux.I ask that you would all pray for him as he is the only family I have aside from my brother. He is my life and I'm praying very hard that he keeps fighting not just for me but for himself. I know that sometimes its easier to say lets stop doing all of this because of the pain but he has been battling this ugly disease for 2 years without much in the way of a complaint - he would say just let's keep going. He's a fighter.Thank you for reading - I greatly appreciate it.Kathy

Kathy, Of course I will pray for you. Cancer, in general, is such a horrible disease and so unpredictable. One minute things can seem fine and the next they can be oh so nasty. But that same unpredictablilty can turn things around the other way, also. The Campostar could be just the thing to kill all of those nasty cancer cells. I will be praying for you and your family in whatever decision you make. Jaynee

RE: PRAYERS URGENTLY NEEDED

Dear Kathy, I stopped and prayed for you and your husband this morning. I can feel your pain and fear because my husband is fighting renal cell now. He has had it for the last nine years. It wears you down and tires you out. But have faith in God that it will work out. I prayed that God will give you courage to face tomorrow. Take one day at a time, and know that others are praying for you. Wanda

I prayed for God to heal Dave from this cancer and for comfort for both of you. Please keep your faith no matter how bleak things sometimes look. I know sometimes it's hard but try to take it a day at a time. It's the only way to get through this. God bless you both, Mary
