mother diagnosed

My mother was just given a tentative diagnosis of lung cancer. She has a 2-inch diameter growth in her lung, and a biopsy is scheduled in 10 days. I live 1500 miles away from her. I feel broken hearted, guilty, hopeless. I don't know what to do. I feel silly writing this: I am 47, with a supportive wife and a loving family, but I am completely devestated.

RE: mother diagnosed

Call her everyday. Even if you think its bothering her. And go be with her. I know it may be hard because your so far away and work, family and all. But do what your heart tells you just follow what you know is good for you and ultimitely what is good for your momma. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
