LEEP Complication!

If you start bleeding heavily after LEEP, you should go to the hospital ASAP! It has been almost three weeks since my procedure and my scab fell off. When it fell off, a blood vessel was exposed. I had to get med evac by helicopter and a blood transfusion. I really thought I was going to die! It started off with me thinking that I was on my period heavy. Take my advice and go to the hospital immediatly!!!!

Great Advice. I had a pretty bad Leep experience and they had a hard time getting me to stop bleeding after the procedure. I had heavy bleeding for about 2 weeks afterward. I was very tired and probably should have gone to get it checked out, but I assumed it was also because I was having my cycle (which is always heavy as well).

RE: LEEP Complication!

I had nothing but complications after LEEP, which included nonstop discharge for two months, an infection, and physical discomfort until I began taking a product called DIM. I wish I had read information about the other three methods: cryosurgery, laser, and cold knife before I had the amputation done via LEEP. I would never have chosen that method because my body is susceptible to infections, and LEEP has the highest incidence of infection, compared to the other methods. I would have chosen laser. It's just as effective as LEEP.
