(Cryosurgery, LEEP, laser, and cold-knife cone biopsy) The doctor I fired bullied me into LEEP. The doctor I replaced her with was so concerned about calming me and was more concerned about honoring my wish to be under general anesthesia, he didn't ask why I chose that method. Afterward, when we talked, he said he prefers it because it gives a live specimen, but the success rate is the same as the other methods. In retrospect, I would have insisted on laser. My body is suspectible to infections, and laser would have reduced that possibility. One important fact to keep in mind is that insurance companies love LEEP because it is cost effective. Your body is not for profit. For many women, LEEP is the best method. But make sure you discuss all options with your doctor, first.
