I am a 48 yeat old male and on round 4 of 6 of FOLFOX treatment for Stage IV colorectal cancer that moved to the lung after 2 years of remission. In my limited exposure (I am the only one in the oncology office going through this) I can say the drugs are currently 'significantly' reducing the size of the tumor (left lung and verifed by CT after 4 rounds) and the side effects are very manageble for me. Each round has gotten a bit easier to take as I manage the side effects with diet. FOLFOX looks like it is doing its job and again I have minimal side effects. In fact I have not had to take short term disability - I just work from home during the 3 days I am on the chemotherapy.

I hope this helps, at least it is a perspective from someone who is over half way through the initial treatment with FOLFOX
