DCA

My medical/alternative doctor is recommending DCA for many of his cancer patients. I have just been reading some very positive and current results from cancer patients with a variety of cancers who have been taking this as treatment. It appears to be very promising.http://www.thedcasite.com/DCA_reports.html

RE: DCA

I read a bit about DCA a few months back and it sounded very promising. I believe they are running small trials in Alberta, but are having a hard time with funding since it's already a generic used to treat something else and there's no real money to be made using it to treat cancer so it hasn't been studied, and isn't likely to be in the US. Are there doctors that will prescribe it and recommend how to use it, since they know it's safe by the number of years it's already been in use? My husband uses domperidone for reflux, which isn't approved in the US unless you fill out an application to use it as experimental for GI use, so I mail the prescription to Canada rather than go through all the red tape.

RE: DCA

I was in contact a few times with the DCA research director. It was quite a while ago, before it was ready for trial. I have an email from the Dr. and a few links in the blog I kept through out my mom's journey with lung cancer. Please visit her blog. It's very emotional, and painful but I wanted other lung cancer patients to see how she was treated, and all the mistakes that were made. My mom and I hoped bringing attention to issues may help other lung cancer patients be more aware and save themselves from such costly set backs. Prayers to you all, Rhonda. http://ca.360.yahoo.com/rhondamckelviefoley
