endometrial (uterine cancer)

my mom had endometrial cancer a few years ago. at that time they performed surgery and removed her uterus, ovaries, and lymph nodes. the cancer had not spread past her uterus and as such no additional treatment was recommended. she continues to get regular checks (PAP and internal check). however, my question is is there any other tests that need to be performed other than her regular checks i mentioned above? any advise would be helpful.

Not Really as the surgery was the treatment and it is extremly effective. A diet helps and reading about how natural supplements can help lead a great life. mmsOn 1/20/2008 amsp00 wrote:my mom had endometrial cancer a few years ago. at that time they performed surgery and removed her uterus, ovaries, and lymph nodes. the cancer had not spread past her uterus and as such no additional treatment was recommended. she continues to get regular checks (PAP and internal check). however, my question is is there any other tests that need to be performed other than her regular checks i mentioned above? any advise would be helpful.

I was diagnosed with Stage 1A uterine cancer 2.5 yrs ago at the ripe old age of 33. I had a TAH (ovaries, cervix and uterus removed) with no further treatment. I go every six months for a pap and they do a CA125 blood test.My only suggestion is to have your mothers doc do the CA125 blood test if they are not doing so already. Good luckTracy
