CancerCompass message board discussion started by tanyaec on 1/21/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,19955,0.htm Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Has anyone heard of using Levulan to get most of the spots prior to using the efudex?  I went and saw a different dermo the other day and she suggested doing the Levulan treatment first that it would get most of the exposed spots and then use the efudex to get the underlying spots you cannot see.  She said it may also make the efudex treatment more bearable.Has anyone on this board tried Levulan?Thanks,Tanya tanyaec Mon, 21 Jan 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hi Tanya,How long do you use the Levulan and how soon after completion of that can you do the Efudex?I start the eFUdex next Monday...:( SpankyB Mon, 21 Jan 2008 00:00:00 GMT Levulan Kerastick is an acidy based stick if I understand it correctly that they apply to your spots one day and the next day you go back and they use the Blue Light Laser on you so its a two day procedure.  I am doing one leg today then another on Thursday.  I will then wait a week or two before using the Efudex.  Are you using the efudex on your arms and legs or face? Tanya tanyaec Tue, 22 Jan 2008 00:00:00 GMT I will be using it on my entire face.  Had a bcc tumor removed in August and a couple of AK's frozen in September.  Nothing visable right now so maybe the efudex is all that I need.  Really dreading it...but it could be worse.
