Desperate Daughter needs help!

Hi, I live with my Mom near Fort Myers, FL and she has just been diagnosed with colon cancer at 52. The CAT scan showed that it has also spread to her liver. She is going in for a PET test for more details sometime this week. Does anyone have any good recommendations for doctors or treatment centers in Florida (or even our of state) ?What can I do to make her comfortable? She is not eating much. Is there a special diet I should be aware of? My Mom is a mother of four, grandmother of three, a fifth grade teacher and means the world to me & many. Please help. Sincerely, Lindsay

I am so sorry to hear about your mother.. my father has advanced prostate cancer and has spread to the bones! What we have done since day one is alternative medicine - doing organic foods, gave up sugar, started jucing etc.. start looking into different sites such as cancertutor(.com) or even alternative clinics (there is agreat one in the bahamas) my dad is currently in mexico though. He is also on the budwig diet too... also been doing vitamin c iv treatments. there is alot out there. just try to avoid chemo and radiation and IF IF you have to do it then build up her immune system as much as possible (also look at POLY MVA) there is a lot out there and believe me we have tired it all. SO far my dad is doing pretty good considering they gave him a 1.5 yr to live. ANd its been over 2 years now and still no chemo or radiation. Just remeber the oncologist will say no to alternative because they can't make money off of it. But trust me getting her system strong will the main thing to help her get through this. And if she does chemo (which i am sure the doctors will force her too) them please start her asap on alternative supplements and food.. (start juicing all veggies 3-4 times a day asap) . do yoru research and act fast!! Sophia

my husband has stage 4 lung with metastises to brain. I was doing essiac tea, xango juice and ip 6 and our oncologist insisted we stop all this as he said it would interfere with chemo. I am devastated as I fell these alternatives are helpful.
