Why Juicing+

Yes, ma'am, the juicing "fanatics" have several strong points: 1)as another said, the nutrients are concentrated, & much more accessible than in the whole veggies; 2) veggies should be more prevalent than fruit, as they cause a milder fluctuation in the glycemic index, & often offer more nutrition; 3)The energy (lots!)used for digestion of whole foods is largely conserved by juicing, making it available for the many needs of the already weakened patient; 4)another consideration, that the liver will finally have the energy/resources to unload toxins, points to the need for even MORE frequent bowel movements,
which may be encouraged via psyllium("metamucil")
ingestion, alternated with meals, as often as necessary to keep-'em-goin'! 5)In this same vein, we need to move so our lymph system can; so those who will not/cannot exercise(one briskly walked mile per day, min.)should obtain a
homeopathic lymph stimulant(resources available, local & by mail)6)juicing will help elevate the cellular pH, an esential for those with cells-gone-crazy; 7)will also provide lots of fluids, and not quite so much water needs be drunk(especially if one dilutes the juice with PURE H2O, for better digestion) 8)please also remember that juice is food, and does still need to be mixed with salivary enzymes, so the stomach
acid may activate them! 9)God bless, and keep your attitude up; with a good attitude, everything works; without it nothing does! Sincerely, Michael M.

Juicing Alternatives

I will just throw this out as info. Dr. Robert young of the ph miracle created a supergreens product that is chock full of green veggies, grasses (wheat and kamut which are super grasses), all organic and sprouted. THere are 49 in all. It is an excellent alterative to juicing. I drink 2 quarts per day and only have to mix in 1 tsp into 1 quart of water each time. He wants you to drink 4 quarts of them for each 150 pound body. This serves to hydrate you and gives you the equal of 1.5 to 3 or more pounds of organic sprouted green veggies and grasses. He does not believe in protiobics in his formula, fermentation or anything. I have been drinking them for 6 months. In the first four months my cholesterol (was high) plummeted and my Dr.'s thrilled. Dr. Young also has PH drops that further alalize your water which I mix with my greens. They also make capsules if you don't like the drink (it tastes like a weak green tea, not sweet, just green).
Anyway, i am facing a breast cancer scare and am trying to get my head around going pH'd all the way so I can make sure that I don't have to face chemo if the pH stuff really works. I do know the greens do great things from my energy and my cholesterol results. Now I have to help my diet (i drink too much wine). I signed up to distribute the product so i could save 25% for me and my friends and family. if you want to know how to get the products, let me know. I figured it was much easier than juicing and having fresh stuff around all the time, espeically the expensive fresh grasses. email me if you want to know about the greens specifically or how to get them at 15 to 25% off. I am not doing this as a commercial, just that I know they are like juicing for those of us who can't or won't. Read the pH Miracle. He claims to have helped many with cancer by starting with a vegan cleanse, his greens and prime ph and depending on your sitatation, other supplements in his bag of tricks. YOu can even get a call with him to go over your situation. He charges $10 a minute but you send your info ahead of time so he knows what is up. I think $10 a minute is worth it if it is life saving. Just one different perspective that is worth sharing. If I do have breast cancer, I will alkalize first and let everyone know if it helped. I am glad to read about Dr. Day also since she seems to follow a ph diet. that is encouraging as i get worried about fascinating claims by some of the authors. I hope this helps those who want to try juicing but don't know if they can keep up with it.

Re: Juicing Alternatives

Dear Julie: Robert Young ("famous name") is astute
and there is "something" to the pH thing: cancer cells cannot live in an alkaline environment. As you may suspect, wine is acidifying. I wrote mainly to suggest that you may enjoy your green drink, & its many benefits, more if it is not alkalized, as the salivary enzymes, interacting with the enzyme(s) of food are activated by the stomach's HCl...alkalizing the food can retard this process, which is not, I'm certain, consistent with your objectives. I wish I could send everyone a copy of Dr. Robbins' book, Juicing For Health, as the 100 -or-so simple formulae are so easy, and delicious, the juicing
becomes the pleasure it ought to be(even if "therapeutic"). At any rate, variety can be good, also. May you be blessed indeed in your strivings for deliverance, and do not fail due to compromise! Happily yours, Michael L M, ND
