Liver transplant patient w/stage IV cancer

My dad received liver transplant 5 years ago. He was doing great until his doctor told him the liver cancer cells from his old liver traveled in his bloodstream and he now has stage IV cancer in his chest & hip. They started him on Nexavar a month ago. He is 76 years old and the side effects of the Nexavar are taking a toll on him. He is hardly eating anything, pain in every muscle of his body. Fatigue to the point where he can't get out of bed some days. He feels that his body may not be able to take 2 more months of this chemo. Has anyone encounter a similar reaction to the Nexavar, and if so, will it subside?
