Changed due to adding daily Radiation (externally,possibly adding internally) with new chemo drugs weekly. for Stage IV Esophageal cancer metas. to liver and having one kidney... I am afraid these regimens are to damaging to kidney and liver.... Info would be appreciated... I would suggest though since you mention "chemo sales pitch" that you take a look at the following website. I feel as though our oncologist gets to my husband with false hope by utilizing the open door by focus on the tumor in the esophagus... which is my husbands main focus, only natural due to that are the symptoms that are showing "now" difficulty swallowing... U focus on that issue and my husband is all about that... For godsakes he is a steak & potatoes man. Not dealing with the main issue actually being the liver and having 1 kidney when u place poison in his system that due time will not be ale to filter ..... Yes u may be right with we are going to get that tumor in your esophagus to shrink... YES  PRAISE JESUS.... yet discussion over.... not extending the facts of well, hopefully u will benefit from the tumor shrinkage by swallowing better and Oh by the way cross your fingers that your kidney and liver hold up...  It is makeing me nuts.... and oh yeah 1 more thing the other meds we add in with the chemo, like huge amount of steroids is going to make you crazy and make u so mean u will do long term mental damage to your wife and traumatize your kids... Make the dog & cat terrified of u...However, being against the chemo has caused hurtful fights of statements made of "so, u don't want me to get better, I don't want you takeing care of me) All I want is this chemo to show me some results of progress, cause so far it has been one way trip, which is DOWN... I could handle this better if the condition would not be getting worse from the complications with treatment vs. the CANCER.... I read and believe this should be fought for... Actual Realization with cancer/ and cancer treatment will not be recognized or looked into more until death certificates & diagnosis with medical terminology doesn't change, (ie) death being stated as a result from cancer, or say Kidney Failure or even having cancer and chemo treatment compromising the immune system that in the end u die from pneumonia.... Therefore ruled as death from pneumonia.... Where is the statements of Death from Complications of Treatment and investigated of that type of treatment used and what reasons lab values changed to cause what the end result was... and please don't snub me off by saying Oh Poor girl is going thru the anger stage dealing with her husband's cancer.... Of course I am upset, but again I am a woman of Science....My prayers go out to everyoone dealing with this..Heather  familyfaith Wed, 30 Jan 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hi Heather (familyfaith) Your frustration and fear are very obvious in your message and I can totally relate to what you are feeling. Five years before my own diagnosis I had a sister die from the effects of chemotherapy and it was a horrendous experience for her and the family. There were natural substances that could have helped her system tolerate the chemo side effects and some that would have even boosted the efficacy of the treatments but because of the "ignorance" (I mean that in the true sense of the word) of her doctors they refused to allow her to take anything natural. They really do need to open their minds and do some research on some of these natural substances which are proven to be helpful. Otherwise they will have to face the fact that patient's lives are being ended horribly and prematurely when other options could have resulted in better results. I would recommend you take a look at this one substance which has been tested and proven to be very effective as a supportive treatment. My own medical/alternative doctor who is personally against the use of chemotherapy is recommending it highly for many of his cancer patients of which I am one.
