Metronomic Chemotherapy

My 43 year old wife was diagnosed with Stage IV in March 07. She has been on two different chemo treatments and has been in remission since Aug of 07. She completes her final rounds of chemo in March of 08 and all her scans remain negative. My question is, post her chemo treatments, the decision remains to continue a low dose chemo program (referred to as Metronomic) OR just discontinue chemo and repeat scans every three months.Does anyone have any experience with Metronomic chemo treatment (supposedly still chemo but a reduced dosage of the active agents)??? How did it effect you, did it work for you, and/or what drugs did they use in your maintenance program? Thanks, and God Bless us all!SteveHartford, CT
