There are conditions where the esophagus narrows, and in fact one particular type narrowing is congenital so you can be born with it. There are also a lot of muscles involved in swallowing so it could be a muscular disorder. There are many conditions which are abnormal but not cancer. Something like that is probably much more likely than EC, but obviously a medical dr would be the one to make that kind of call. Good luck with it all.
