CancerCompass message board discussion started by *Folfox* on 2/14/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,20933,0.htm Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hi thereMy boyfriend has been undergoing FOLFOX chemo who is also part of the Pani study.  He has just completed 9 cycles chemo with fantastic results.  Liver tumor shrunk from 22% -- 48% --to 60%.  Although the chemo was rather rough at times (terrible rash resembling acne) the results have been amazing.The Oncologist has decided to stop chemo and now go ahead with liver surgery.  I have NO idea what to expect!  I presume the waiting period will be anything from 2 - 6 weeks.  Is there anyone out there that knows what i can expect from the liver surgery itself?  I believe it is major with a whole lot of complications that can set in.  Please share your experience with me.  Patient or Care Giver - i need to start preparing myself (mentally) for what is ahead of us.Looking forward to hearing from you.Rae-Ann   *Folfox* Thu, 14 Feb 2008 00:00:00 GMT I know it has been sometime since you last posted.  I was wondering if your boyfriend has had surgery on his liver yet?
