CancerCompass message board discussion started by Aacddd3 on 2/15/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,20994,0.htm Fri, 05 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT Fri, 05 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ My husband was suppose to start avastin/vpt11 about 2 months ago.  His platelets were too low to start.  He developed a blood clot in January and a filter was put in to prevent the clot from going to his heart or lungs.  He could not have any medicine to disolve the clot because of the platelets.  I have recently read that Avastin can cause clots.  I wonder if my husband will ever be able to take Avastin because of the clot that was formed without ever having Avastin.  Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this?
