Sara: sorry to hear abut your sister, I know of at least 2 people who used the Budwig diet successfully but they also added other elements, so even though it is hard to get down it seems to work. I will post you a private email also.
My dad has been on it for 2 years (pc to the bones) - had it helped, yes I think it has, has it gotten into remission - no! But flax oil is so good for you, maybe try adding frozen blueberries to the mix!? I like it personally and think it tastes great, however my dad (usually men dont' like cottage cheese anyway) hates it too and has to plug his nose, but the berries help! Sophia

Thank you so much and I will as well. The Budwig diet is great and the reason she prefers cottage cheese is becuase it is much much higher in the cultured enzymes then yogurt.. you would have to triple the yogurt. But regardelss Flax oil (make sure its the refrigerated kind from the store and keep it in the fridge- it goes bad quickly if not). ALso ground the flax seeds on top for extra oooph! ;) Look into other alternative treatments and supplements and check out Vitamine C IV clinics around your area. The Budwig is great but don't depend on that alone... B17, is great too.. My dad also just got back from Mexico and we are very happy with their treatment! Best, Sophia

Buy a stick blender and mix the cottage cheese and flaxseed oil completely together until no residual oil remains. It will be creamy and light yellow. To get around the taste problem -- what I do (which is not standard Budwig) is to mix in a scoop of chocolate flavored whey powder and stir it thoroughly into the cottage cheese / flaxseed oil. It actually tastes good! Budwig did say organic non-sweetened cocoa was okay to add, so I'm not too far off base. Make sure your flaxseed oil is fresh and refrigerated at all times. Rancid oil is much worse than no oil. I like the Udo's oil blend, which isn't pure flaxseed oil, but is largely flaxseed oil and sits well with me.

Sara First time I made a batch of cottage cheese and flax seed oil, it was not the greatest. But I have settled on a recipe that makes the concoction so good, I enjoy it every morning now. It's a delicious as any pudding.I add a small packet of stevia (a fantastic herbal sweetener), a good helping of fresh sliced pineapple, and either a whole banana, or, when I have them, a small handfull of blackberries, raspberries or blueberries. It really seems to help to have the pineapple in there all the time. I'm loving this stuff, and been having it daily for a month at this point.

RE: DR BUDWIGS DIET

Hello Sarah,I have been on the flax oil diet now for nearly 8 weeks. My wife started giving it to me when the doctors had given me up for lost and all I was taking was morphine. I have lung cancer with mets to spleen liver and kidney. I am much better now and my oncologist has been great about me stopping all conventional treatment. We mixe the flax oil with banana, honey, ginger and fresh whole milk. Sometimes organic cocoa instead of ginger. she adds my pain meds emptying the contents of the plastic capules in and also adding acidophilus, as I was getting stomach cramps. I have 2 tablespoons full 3 times a day mixed with 4 table spoons of cottage cheese. I am also having veg and fruit juice mixed with avocado and kiwi, so my calorie intake is now more that 2000 perday. This is the first time in 18 months that I have felt that i had a chance of a cure. Do try it, I actually like it now.All the Best,Phil
