Efudex 5% treatment started

This board has been such a great help for Q&A's for everyone has using Efudex. I started my treatment "Finally" on Saturday morning. I have tried the phototherapy treatments twice and no response. I have been postponing my treatment because of one thing after another and now its on! Nothing but some tingling right now but understand it will start to get worse at the later part of the treatments. I was told by my derm to do it for 3 weeks on my arms and legs. I am concerned about clothing and bedding. I guess it does not stain or hurt your clothing? I have already purchased Aquaphor lotion to apply as needed and Cetphil wash for the shower. I have a cruise scheduled on April 20th and want it to be over and healed before I go so using it for 3 weeks will give me 6 weeks to heal. Boy have I been dreading this and my other skin care specialist wanted me to go thru the phototherapy treatment again but that would have tied up so much time that I would not have had time to do the Efudex that the Dr. perscribed for me to do last Oct before my trip in April.Any documentation on anyone's progress will be a great help. I am going to start taking photo's once it start to kill thoses naughtly cancer cells. Did anyone take benedryl for itching? Thanks Tanya

You'll be healed in plenty of time for your cruise.Just remember that your skin will be super sensitive to sun so make certain you use lots of it!! Good luck with your treatment. You'll have some nasty days at the end but as quickly as that arrives...it's done and over with!
