CancerCompass message board discussion started by jaynpatti on 2/24/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,21271,0.htm Sun, 07 Sep 2008 00:00:00 GMT Sun, 07 Sep 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ My question to help my friend is: she has soft tissue sarcoma,stage 4.She was diagnosed in June 07, since has had radiation, surgery,and has had 4 heavy chemo treatments in a clinical trial.Her cancer had metastisised to her femors,spine,crainial bone,lymph nodes,and lungs,in a matter of 2 months.She is going for her 5th round of chemo on sunday.Her lung mets has gone from over a hundred to about 50 with the chemo.But I'm worried it's giving her false hope.As well as making her very ill,with all the side effects.It is inoperable,so my question is: Does anyone know how long she might be with us,and is this chemo,just making her too sick to have any quality time with her family?It's too hard to talk to her about this, as I don't want to say anything to dash her hope.If anyone can help, please let me know.Thanks jaynpatti Sun, 24 Feb 2008 00:00:00 GMT
