Valley Cancer Institute

Is anyone familiar with or had any experience with The Valley Cancer INstitute? I have Salivary Gland cancer that has spread to my lungs with very few treatment options. I am looking into Hyperthermia at the clinic. I have talked to them and they feel they can give me 90% success. I am just a little leary for some reason......amazing, even with your life on the line one can be skeptical......and I don't know why. Just hoping maybe some one of you has some experience with this place. I would appreciate ant info. Thank you in advance...................Stay Strong Pam

RE: Valley Cancer Institute

Hello I have never heard of them personally. I am a huge proponent of the powers of natural therapies to treat cancer. I have read about this method of treatment and it does make sense to me. However, the fact that they gave you a 90% chance of success would make me skeptical. Not because i dont believe it is possible because people beat cancer everyday that were told otherwise. natural medicine and therapies are my passion and i am by no means an expert, but i dont believe that there is one magic treatment or herb that can cure...it seems to me that people beating it have found a proper combination of certain supplements, diet,etc....and hae brought their body back into a state of balance that can fend off the disease.Alternative treatments such as this one can be very very expensive. If you at all doubt the sincerity of anything they said to you, go with your intuition and find another means of treatment or devise a plan to use in conjunction with it so you are not soley relying on that one treatmentI wish you the best of luck and i know you can find some way to heal yourself if you dont give up!

RE: Valley Cancer Institute

My husband recently died while being treated by Valley Cancer Institute. They advertise their treatment as low side effects. We were told that the only side effect he would have would be boredom. In fact, we found this not to be the case. Especially, when treating near the lungs ( and probably other major organs) both radiation and hyperthermia can be very dangerous. The doctor at the I.C.U. told us that just one treatment of hyperthermia can damage the lungs beyond repair. My husband died after being on life support for over a week. His lungs were "like glass" and the radiation had killed his ability to make red blood cells.

Furthermore, there is only one functioning doctor at V.C.I. and he is only there part time. They do not physically examine their patients. The radiologist seems to operate without the supervision of the doctors. Machines are often broken down and the office is disorganized.

My advice is run. Do not walk to the nearest exit.

                                                     Thanks S.D.

Thanks for your posting. I concur. I want to get the word out to stay away from VCI. My family liked them, my family member being treated by them had his doubts and affirmed his mistake too late. VCI kept saying how much they liked my family member. Liking someone doesn't exonerate what they did. Run from them but ... people in this forum want to know where? What real alternatives do we have in the U.S. that work? Why are so many people going overseas?
