Since then, I was sick and sick and sick - pains and more pains, I couldn't walk straight.  I had this unbalance feeling that I will fall, fall when I stand or walk.  So then I usually walk very fast with the aid of an umbrella. It was bad.  Frens and all says 'you look alright' but I don't feel it.  Went for scans on my brain, thought something was wrong. Went to ENT doctors - nothing nothing nothing.  Tried Chinese herbs, supplements - nothing works.  Then almost 2 years later, someone recommended me a nutrition drink. That got back my health.  Too bad .. only temporarily.  Off and on, I do get sick for no reason.  Shivers, fevers and the part where the liver is was always feeling heavy.  What more with that big scar.  Then I got real sick.  I was scratching away.  My whole body itches.  It was like once you start, it never wants to end.  I didn't know what was wrong.  And I had this patch of bad skin on my leg that just won't heal.  It was getting bigger and bigger.  Finally, one day I got so sick, my clinic doctor did a blood test. And because I look yellowish, did a liver test.  My ALT count was astonishing, the doc says.  It was 1,300 + Immediately I was hospitalised.  Doctors did ERCP. Abandoned.  Says they can't go through. Next day, did ERCP again.  Did laser cutting, Once again, abandoned. This time they took a snap of the inside. Says there's multiple clips in it.  Gave me a letter to go to another hospital for 2nd opinion.  Meanwhile, given a date to do MRI.  Bad finance, did not go for 2nd opinion.  Did MRI, after MRI, severe pain - abdomen.  Was warded.  From MRI, head surgeon suggested to doctor to reopen to do up whatever is inside (that's what I overheard, they were talking to one another).  No, its not necessay, the doctor says, cos it might not solve the problem.  Instead, they did a balloon to dilate the duct for the flow to go out.  and The following 2 weeks, was attached to the drainage bag to drain out the bile.  Asked if the balloon will last, not sure.. That was in year 2004.In year 2007, same jaundiced again. But then in year 2005, already been to another hospital for 2nd opinion.  Cos I had hyperthyroidism, they couldn't do much but to treat the hyperthyroidism 1st.  Nothing nothing until 2007 august, jaundiced again, with the pains and fevers of course.  Had MRCP done.  Doctor says there's damage there. I needed surgery.  As I've no pains at that moment, I can go back.  Will call me to inform date for surgery.  Month by month passed, no calls from the doctor.  I tried calling for the doctor, always not around.. the nurses can't contact him, he's out on his rounds, etc.etc.  6 months gone, then 2 weeks ago, severe pains came and wouldn't go off.  Admitted myself to that hospital, was treated with anti biotics and pain killers.  When I asked where's my doctor - very busy with surgery.  All his assistants came to see me, discussed.  when asked that since my case is quite serious, when is doc coming to see me... With a history of such recurrent obstructions.. what's gonna happen if another part of my body is damaged due to this prolonged delay.  then asap another MRCP was arranged  and done last week.  And I stole a peek into my file at the hospital.  And year 2007's MRCP suggested doctor to consider possibility of Klatskin tumor... here I am checking on the meaning of this.. and oh my god.. why didn;t the doctor inform me ????? patktkay Tue, 04 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT So sorry to hear of your long and complicated medical journey. A klatskin tumor is no joke. You don't indicate in which part of the country you live. You have to go to a renowned cancer center, not just a community hospital and get the opinions of very experienced oncologists and liver surgeons. Only then will you be able to make decisions and know what to do. Good Luck and I sincerely hope that it isn't Klatskin's after all. Bayla Tue, 04 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hello Bayla,Thanks for your kind reply.  I'm from Malaysia.  After much delay, I have an appointment with the Prof who's my doc at the hospital today.  Says to compare last MRCP and the recent one to decide on surgery.  You know, knowing now the seriousness of my condition, I truly am grateful to two dear friends - Paul and Doris.  They actually recommended me something which I think helped me to be what I am today.  With this supposely tumor in me and yet I don't feel that sick, cos I have energy on me all the time - which I believe is what has been putting me on my feet till today.  well, have to get to the doctor first to see what he has to say.Thanks again for our support.  Will revert to you should I have further news. patktkay Tue, 04 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hi everyone,My uncle that lives in China, has no money for the operation and also the doctor from Li Ka Shing Hospital told him that he would not get better if he has the operation because his tummy will get bigger and bigger because of the water.  So the doctor gave him a formula which is a kind of fish with prune to make the soup.  Don't know after how long, probably a few months, my uncle went back and had the scan, the tumor went away and he is living happily.My dad that lives in HK, went to see the best doctor in HK and had half of his liver removed two years ago.  Last week, he was in the ICU because he had fever.  The doctor told us that he only has two weeks to live.  A week already passed.  I am so distress and depressed now.    SELINE Mon, 07 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT
