Hi, my dad has pc with mets in liver. He was not operable. He was diagnosed in October. He had 8 rounds of gemzar & cisplatin chemo with daily tarceva pill. This all was very tolerable and seems to be doing a good job. This seems to be a popular first line of defense. It sounds like you need to hope to get some shrinkage with chemo and radiation so they can operate. Good Luck, stay upbeat because the spirit is important

Thankyou all for providing me withinformation regardingbest options. I have been in touch with PC UK and they have pointed me in a couple of directions, also they haveprovidedmy with somevery good info regarding what s best. We are hoping for a 2nd opinion at Liverpool University Hospital, although I'm told that although contained within the head of the Pancreas the tumour may be too large to remove at 5cm.Worth evey effort though.Best wishes to you all and i will keep you updated.Paul
