CancerCompass message board discussion started by iunie on 3/4/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,21625,0.htm Fri, 05 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT Fri, 05 Dec 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Can someone bring some light to my situation?  I received 2 pathologies results from my regular OB/GYN (pap smear and coldoscopy) with extensive high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (severe dysplacia CIN 3) with suspicion of invasion!!!!   I was recomamded to a GYN oncologist (about 1 week ago) had a cone biopsy yesterday and the question that I have,  is it possible to full blown cancer from this severe dysplacia CIN 3? I hope my question makes sense.   Talk about this experience …. Horrifying!!!! iunie Tue, 04 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hi I'm sorry for what you are going through. It's so scary. I've been there. I was diagnosed with CIN II and had a cone procedure, what was found was CIN III and a very small lesion of stage 1A microinvasion. The margins didn't clear so I had to have a second cone. After my second cone, the margins were clear and I'm considered "cured" although it could recur. I'll have to be monitored more carefully. Even if it is a little worse, it's treatable by Cone.
