After Voicebox removal ...

... Being newly diagnosed with cancer of the vocal chords.. and awaiting the results of an MRI scan to determin the extent of the cancer .Ive been trying to focus on a favourable result of it being on the chords only . . and that the cancers can be removed by surgery or radiation. I havent been able to speak for approx 10 months now ..but can whisper ..which is better than nothing right !!!However i am just trying to find out all the different ways of "speech" there is available should i find myself in position for voicebox removal . Ime just having nightmares with all this .. i try to stay focused and positive for my family sake ..but deep down ime not coping with very well with this :-( Any help ..would be a comfort Thank you Linda AKA Kizzysmum..
