My mom's symptoms, can you help?

I have FINALLY convinced my mom to go see a doctor. She's had many symptoms lately which I think may be a cancer, but I'm not sure what kind. She is 57 years old. Her symptoms:-diarrhea-loss of appetite/food adversions (LOVES coffee but hasn't drank it lately)-back pain-stomach pain-weight loss (not rapid)She is a heavy smoker (3 packs/day) and beat breast cancer last year. Can you tell me what types of cancers cause these symptoms so I can research some more? Thank you.Michelle

Well, I'm not an expert, unless family hx makes you an expert. But, I'm glad you have her going to the doctor. Maybe the symptoms are from medicine that she's taking. If the diarrhea happens all the time, she may need a colonoscopy(diarrhea, feeling full and weight loss are some indicators or colo-rectal cancer). But, I am sure that it could be many things besides cancer. Try not to jump into the cancer scare everytime something is wrong(easier said then done), but always - always have her let her doctor know whats going on with her body.Take care
