My mom has had stage iv lung cancer... She has been on several chemos for over a year now... The cancer is getting worse, .the dr. Told her they were " running out of options". I am trying to prepare myself... I need to know, has any one had a love one near the end that has gone thru this, can tell me what to expect, how the dr's approach... Or anything....this has been the hardest tear of my life.I would appreciate any help.. Thanks and god bless anyone who reads this....renee    GAILERENEE Mon, 10 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT Hi,I'm so sorry.  I do know what you are going through.  I just lost my mom to lung cancer (Feb 22).  It is a terrible, terrible disease.  She started radiation treatments in Nov. and instantly became very ill.  After a twelve day stay in the hospital, we were able to bring her home until the end.  We were able to keep her fairly comfortable with hospice care.  What kind of support system do you and your mother have?  It is very important to get all the help you can.  You might want to consider some more holistic treatments, or supplements and see if that works at all.  I wanted to do more of that, but my mom wasn't interested.  She did allow Reiki and acupuncture and I think that helped.  If you have any questions, I will try to answer them.     Roz Rosalind Mon, 10 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT Thanks for your reply.Yes I have a big close family.Plenty of support...My family has never been thru cancer with anyone..  I am very sorry you lost your mom.
