HPV Negative HGSIL??

I am going to have a LEEP on Friday. I am very confused. I have all my pap reports and biopsy report in front of me now....Since the HPV test available 3 years ago, I have this test done every time came back HPV Negative during the past 3 years.Last Oct. I have ASCH pap, then I had Biopsy....the result is LGSIL.1/21/08 pap is HGSIL. CIN2. HPV still Negative.I read 98% of cervical cancer caused by HPV virus. So I am among the 2% of unclassified patients? I've been married for 6 years and my husband and I are too busy with our two small children to having sex....I meant we are faithful to each other.

Has your doctor discussed the possibilities in full detail with you? If you're not getting a satisfactory explanation, get a different doctor whose expertise you would be more comfortable with. You might also want to check with any clinics in town that would have information for you. I am curious. Did you have the new HPV DNA test done? I asked my doctor for it, and I'm glad I did.
